    If you have a steel bolt, you can buy an aluminum bolt to drop weight too. Mine was 20, and its almost 19 now which makes me not try to break the cue ball on every shot.

    I hadn't thought about modifying the bolt to change the weight. I'll have to pull it out, weigh it and adjust the length a bit.

I also have a William Hoppe in mint condition that was passed down from my grandfather to my dad to me. It doesn't see much table time anymore, but it's a fantastic cue.
