If you have a steel bolt, you can buy an aluminum bolt to drop weight too. Mine was 20, and its almost 19 now which makes me not try to break the cue ball on every shot.Originally posted by black2002ls View PostI hadn't thought about modifying the bolt to change the weight. I'll have to pull it out, weigh it and adjust the length a bit.

I'm on the road right now. I'll check when I'm back in the area.

What is the model # on the old one? Trying to figure out how old mine is.Originally posted by diablo rojo View PostMy main cue is a McDermott (21 oz), it's a tank and I've used it for over 15 years. My Meucci (18 oz) is more about finesse and great for english. I also have a William Hoppe in mint condition that was passed down from my grandfather to my dad to me. It doesn't see much table time anymore, but it's a fantastic cue.

I have all the different weight bolts for McDermott.Originally posted by black2002ls View PostWell, I stand corrected, just looked at my McDermott, and it does have a weight in the end, maybe the shop I bought it at didn't have any weights, Either way, its too heavy for my liking. Some day I'll get the weight adjusted

I love my Viking and it wasn't very expensive. I just don't play much anymore.
