The best insurance in my opinion, they will repair to 100% by request (well the last time I wrote for them). If it does total they only pay dealer rated retail. You will make out on it if it does.

I had a super clean, rare blue, Dakota R/T with only 55K. I hit a deer, or he hit me and the truck was totaled. The truck was worth over 8k and I got $4,800. USAA's market value for a Dakota R/T with 55K was only $5,100. I was pissed because I traded in my super clean Cobra in for that truck and lost my ass, in both vehicles.

How long ago?

OP is not getting anywhere near under $5k (I'm thinking closer to $7K) for that truck if its totaled. It's a Toyota, its a truck, and used car values are through the roof right now.
