Your throwing out of Bloom's Taxonomy (come on, they raved about that shit to us from the time I was in 4th grade until I graduated) as your example is further proof of that. Critical thought would have come up with actual examples of the teaching methods and process used to encourage critical thinking; instead, you threw out the most generic, overabused buzz-term used to "educate" people my age.

Passing the TEKS demonstrates higher order thinking skills and common sense? Good Lord. Teaching kids spatial orientation of objects and making them write a one-page essay does not make them useful citizens, no matter what you think.

Maybe you should start teaching them about credit scores, how to write a resume, or how to interview. With your bad attitude and lackluster mastery of the English language, I'm sure you couldn't manage it.

Our education system doesn't even give people enough basic information to protect themselves from this kind of scam/fraud/hoax. Instead of wasting our time trying to teach computer science and Texas history to future mouth breathers, we should at least try to to teach them how to protect their assets and think critically before giving out PID.
