I'm very sorry to hear this, OP. If there's anything I can do, let me know.

You knopw what I remember vividly? The calm and peace I felt when I woke up to do it. For months I had been in a low place and contemplating and then I woke up and decided i was done. I got up and all stress was gone. Just did it. quick and easy.

Its gonna be a while before I can tolerate a young person bitch about twitter or some shit like that.
Heard about this today. Sucks, he was good peoples.

    They both had two kids.
You honestly think like you are gonna fuck your kids up if you stay around. You feel that your wife will find a better man and a better father for the kids. It is such a low place to be.

My reason to contemplate it was watching walls bleed.

But at the time what saved me? My dog. If you are willing to look hard enough there's reasons not to off yourself. You just have to find it and sometimes, you don't want to look for that reason because it means it's going to be hard.

I agree. It dilutes and takes away their suffering to say that you cant respect anyone to make the ultimate decision one can make.

Can it hurt others with their decisions? Sure it can. It's a tragic loss.

Man I feel terrible for you. That is rough for anyone.

People have a hard time admitting they need help or realizing they need it. You can always talk to a doctor about medication to help get you back on track.

I don't remember any of it. I remember taking the pills, frantically writing a note, and then i remember waking up in ICU. Once they got me off those fucking meds, I was completely different. Anyway, while I was in a rehab/mental place for a week afterwards, my roommate was a suicide watch as well. he was in his 50's and was also a former Marine. Well, I don't know what the point is, but I do know that keeping yourself busy in projects and forcing yourself to get some damned sunlight and exercise has completely changed me. If you have never been in the place as someone that tries suicide, you have no idea of how lonely and depressed you can actually feel. You try to kill yourself because you actually think the world would be better off without you. I honestly thought it was the least selfish thing I could do for the world.

sorry you lost a friend and im very sorry a human being can ever feel that bad.

I just dont get it! I just hope the guy didnt have kids. Both of the guys that I knew had kids. The one that hung himself had a great wife who loved him & stood by him. They had 3 kids together. 2 sons & daughter. I still do work for his wife from time to time. Really nice lady!

But as Jester said. you think kids would be a reason to want to tough it out. Its just SAD for everyone involved
