sorry for your loss wayne and RIP Benton. I have a terrible time dealing with the loss of my grandson earlier this month but it seems to me whether you have known someone for many years or just for a moment, a loss can hurt so deeply but to experience life is truely Gods gift to us all!

Wayne, cherish that you were able to say goodbye. That is a great way to part and it will grow from sadness to gratefulness as the days pass.

so sorry to hear that. It is never easy to let go, even if we know they will be in a better place. I teared up a little bit just reading your story. It is strange how certain things happen just before someone passes on. The fact that he woke up after 2 days and was able to communicate in a way is just a blessing. It's as if he wanted to let each of you know how much he loved you and say goodbye. I will keep your family in my prayers. God bless you and your family.
Brian

Don't even know ya but I had to hold some tears back at work. Really touching write-up of the whole thing... Brother found some peace, I'm sure of it...
Thanks for sharing.

That's rough.. My grandfather was awake but unable to communicate or acknowledge what we were saying when we said goodbye. I can imagine how much harder it would have been if he had.

Sorry to hear it, bro. I'm sure you and your family gave him the best exit before his big entrance.

When my Dad passed, a good friend told me something that sticks with me to this day... "When you remember them and a smile comes to your face, they are not truly gone. Their soul live on in the smiles of those they touched."
