so sorry to hear that. It is never easy to let go, even if we know they will be in a better place. I teared up a little bit just reading your story. It is strange how certain things happen just before someone passes on. The fact that he woke up after 2 days and was able to communicate in a way is just a blessing. It's as if he wanted to let each of you know how much he loved you and say goodbye. I will keep your family in my prayers. God bless you and your family.

That's rough.. My grandfather was awake but unable to communicate or acknowledge what we were saying when we said goodbye. I can imagine how much harder it would have been if he had.

Wow, I'm so sorry for your loss. It sounds like he went home in the best way he could; peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, and with love in his heart.
When my Dad passed, a good friend told me something that sticks with me to this day... "When you remember them and a smile comes to your face, they are not truly gone. Their soul live on in the smiles of those they touched."

That is a great saying. I am sorry for your loss. It is never easy to lose someone or something you love that much. You two will meet again one day and it will be good again. Buy until that day comes remember all the good times you had.
