We spend an easy $800/mo though one left for college this fall so it has gone down a bit as she and her boy freind aren't around any more. Wife prepares a list but I just throw stuff in the cart based on what I want and need for my lunch and grilling.

I don't see any cookies but I do see cake mix, pumpkin pie filling and some other good looking stuff. The only frozen thing I see are some red baron french bread pizzas. I love those things.

I spend 250-300 a month on groceries, counting stocking the supply room with extras. 2 adults, 2 large dogs, a 2 year old and usually a friend or two living with us at any given point

We probably spend $80 a week on average. Do you end up throwing out shit that doesn't get used cause it either expired or goes bad? We used to have shit that we would buy, never eat and toss it. We then started to plan our meals for the week, and made a list of what to buy and that really helped.
