I'd be ok with doing whatever it takes to eliminate it. If you think anything on your phone is private you're a moron.
It seems as simple as joining with the cell phone companies for real time data on phone usage coupled with cameras or observers.

If I see a dumn fucker driving down the highway using both hands to type a text on there phone and not looking up, I kindly pull up next to them, push in the clutch, engage my 2step, and mash the loud pedal. after the first few loud "BANGs" they start paying attention.

You guys remember how much I was bashing this anti-texting bill here in Arlington and how it's paving the way for tyranny?

Estimated time until the state decides it needs to be able to scan your phone and store texts and phone numbers while you drive?

I'll only read texts, I find texting and driving too distracting. It's never anything important or ground breaking for me to take my eyes off the road. If it's important I'll get a call, which is far less distracting.

It definitely doesn't seem 100%. If I'm using GPS and viewing my map what is stopping a spotter to say I was texting.

Here's a question: If you get pulled over for supposed "texting" and you tell the revenue collector that you were making a call, not texting, what happens?
