Gun Control is not a deterrent.

IMO the prison system is too soft for these rejects. The prison system is nothing more than a temporary free residence for criminals to learn how to commit more severe crimes and improve from the mistakes of other criminals.

I suggest this alternative.
The best way to deter severe crimes would be to change how we treat criminals in prison. I propose once a severe crime is committed such as in this case and there is no doubt of who committed the act. That we send these two rejects to war in place of normal law abiding citizens. Think of the cost savings since these rejects would not need boot camp training because they can already handle a weapon.

Waste no time. Put them on a plane today. Strap a parachute on their ass and hand them a gun right as they get pushed out the side door. Video record every part of it and show it on national tv to make other potential future rejects aware of the punishment.

Think of how much a deterrent that would be. Over sending them to a prison cell with free meals, free legal advice, access to workout equipment, tv, phones, etc.
