    Agreed, but I know jackshit about outboard motors. What I do know is that they can be extremely high dollar.

    i have 4.3l it is only 190hp, still does great but bigger is much better

    Do yourself a favor and go look at bass pro shop. They have a lot bigger selection of boats and if a lowes boat is what you like now you will really like the new bass trackers

    Y'all talking about performance actually leads me to another question. This boat has a 60 hp motor. It is 1400 to upgrade to a 75 hp motor. Is it good to do that? I've read that people do complain about it. Apparently some do prop upgrades to help it, but I'm curious of y'alls opinion.

    There used to be a good contingent of race boats down there just about every weekend... but the performance stuff has tapered off significantly and now the tournament ski boats are predominant as well as bass boats and family oriented stuff.

    It's geared to pull weight so it does great on gas at wakeboarding speeds like 20-25 mph, after that it starts to go through it pretty quickly. Pulling tubes is where it sucks the most.

    I bet that thing will move around, when you have it full of ballast does it suck the fuel like crazy?

    Dead stop pulls are what the boat was made to do. Top speed... Not so much

    I've drug a few bass boats....to 44, after that they catch me like I'm standing still.
