It looks like I'll be up until I see they won't get worse as they come this way.

I remember a hail storm that came through south Irving around 90 or 91. It started at baseball sized hail and finished with softball size. Both of my parent's cars had massive amounts of damage. Both were completely repaired, but full of bondo. I think they both had new cars within the month after it happened.

Trust me I can name years and months of huge storms in the time line you just named. Hell in 2003 we had one of the largest hail storms Dallas ever had. We did 1.7 million a month in roofs that year. The mid 2000's there weren't really any but now we are actually getting them like we used to. Trust me I grew up in a business that revolves around this weather. This isn't anything new, this is what is was like in the 80s, 90s and early 2000s.
I was nearly caught in a massive hailstorm in 1990, I had just walked up the steps to a friends house and was knocking on the door when a window broke on the other side of his house. It was actually baseball sized hail that was just starting to fall, it created massive damage to a strip about 12 miles long, 3 miles wide, but it was in the mostly rural area around Lake Whitney. Then there was the massive flooding in 1991, followed again in 1993.

The trend to label all weather changes on global warming is a folly when you start comparing how much the weather fluctuates over the years, many 'scientists' will cherry-pick which info they choose to use, but when you compare it ALL it becomes obvious that it just comes and goes.

Also want to mention- my 1968 Galaxy survived that baseball sized hail with just some chrome trim beat up, while my buddy's mid 70's Camaro had the back glass knocked out and was beat all to hell.

That's kind of true. There definitely are parts of town I have noticed through the years tend to get hit more. I know Allen is prone, don't know why but I know a few areas I have roofed houses 3 times.
