I hit a cop, prison. Cop hits me? Maybe paid time off if he doesn't say he felt threatened. A cop draws his weapon on me? May file a report, nothing happens if he 'felt threatened.' I draw on a cop? No double standard is there? You never answer that simple question. You dance around it, you poke fun but you never address it.
I have explained this broken record several times. You haven't believed me then, what makes me think you will now?

You mean to tell me that if officers knew they'd be held accountable for their actions, less would sign up? No way...

Bred? Hardly. There is a certain group of people who are drawn to positions of authority. Especially authority over the lives of others that permit you incredible freedoms not available to citizens, a firearm and the ability to mouth off to anyone you like while hiding behind the badge. I've seen a lot of MP's like that and officers. Then you have those who went in with good intentions and get corrupted by the power and by their peers telling them "It's okay" and covering up for each other.

Unfortunately I believe that it does which is very surprising to me since I am not a FTP type and am generally a law and order type but I should have picked my words a little more carefully. When I said "kill my dog" I should have said murder. I also doubt that I could kill a true child but every one is someones child, adult or otherwise. The final straw for me was a recent court ruling that said that pet owners were not entitled to damages for a wrongful death. Since there is no more legal recourse to avenge the death of what I love as much as life itself I will come up with it on my own if it ever comes down to it regardless of what I believe the final outcome will be. If a few psychos take out a disproportionate level of revenge for the death of their pets maybe the "Cops" will change their tactics. Hopefully my dog will die of old age but I have never been so foolish as to think that I will be as fortunate.

It is very unlikely that half of the PD in any city in the north east consist of veterans while that is very likely in the south.
