Why would they care if he isn't presenting himself as an officer? Has nothing to do with his job and from what the OP posted, I don't see a law that would cover that. So what exactly would they care?

Because the news never twists stories to the extreme, so you're right, they would never have a headline "Fort Worth Police Officer accused of harassing cheating wife's lover." No, that would never happen since he might not have had his uniform on for any of it.

If it is what the officers wife told him while he had his dick in her, then that has nothing to do with him confronting his wifes boy toy.
