Ignorance of the law is no excuse. If I think a car is mine and I've locked my keys inside and I'm trying to jimmy the lock and a cop sees it, he's not going to accept "I didn't know I was breaking the law, I thought it was mine." Until here recently if I was concealed carrying and printed without knowing it, that wasn't a defense, I still get popped. The guy down in Temple carrying an AR in the hills on a Boy Scouts trip broke no laws but was arrested.

Tell me again how sympathetic I should be because she was a cop.

    Hypocrites piss me off.

Mother f'er.... Even though *I* mentioned it - I somehow glossed over...

Figueroa may have used a fake or forged birth certificate, the station reported, but officials said that she was likely told that she was born in this country by her mother.
"We believe the affidavit and information she gave us at the time. And, she was under the impression that she herself was an American citizen," Department of Public Safety spokesman Bart Graves told KVOA.

It seams to me that she was not intent on frauding the state it was actually her that was duped by momma.
Understand, that's the only way *I* would be nice about it. It was not mentioned anywhere that I noticed.

And yet she is still actively committing a crime, at this very second and has since the day she got here. That's decades of actively engaging in a federal crime.
