anytime a crazy man owns a gun, thats a lot of guns.Originally posted by Pokulski-Blatz View PostYour definition of a lot is very different from mine. I think he spends most of his gun money on stuff to put on the 3-4 guns he owns.

Seriously, severity and illegality are two different things. Going more or less over the speed liimit doesn't make it more or less illegal. They change the severity which in turn is a larger fine or punishment. Something is either legal or illegal, thats it.

The punishment is generally proportional to the severity of the crime, or the degree of illegality. Cops usually aren't going to enforce the speed limit if you're within 5-10 mph, and they aren't going to kick your door in and arrest you for not using your turn signals.Originally posted by SonicblueGT03 View PostAgain, just a matter of semantics. The definition of the word is "anything contrary to the prevailing laws of the land", and in that light, murder is the same as running a red light. Is one more heinous than the other? Certainly. But running a red light is no less illegal than killing someone. It is only the punishment of the infraction that is different, i.e. slap on the wrist for the red light offense, or jail time, or possibly worse for killing someone.

Semantics. Is it hot in here? Or is there just an absence of cold?
is jackhammering Mickey Mouse in the doo-doo hole
with a lawn dart as Garth Brooks gives birth to something
resembling a cheddar cheese log with almonds on Santa Claus's tummy-tum?

The argument was based on your statement in bold:
The argument to be made being, there are varying levels (aside from just the punishment as you later tried to say). Those levels being "miss-demeaner" (with various classes) and felony (with various degrees).

It either is, or it isn't. Morality, on the other hand, is completely subjective.
