how about don't be a nigger and buy a card every time you fill up?
I buy a few $300 fuel cards at a time. Then I don't have to go inside and stand in line every time I fill up.
I get the "oooh lawdy" stare from all the "I need a $20 fuel card" peasants every time I go in.
CHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
at .40/gal cheaper than everywhere else, it's $40-50/week I can put towards getting my shoes shined

You can always use the balance on gas later. Hell, HEB always runs a discount on gas, if you use a gift card. It's $0.12 off a gallon at mine right now.Originally posted by GhostTX View PostI bet.
That is kinda crappy though. I have to go in and get gift cards THEN go pay for gas. What a pain. Plus, then if I have a balance left on the card, that's money that "stuck" until I go to that store again.
I guess they get a lot of gas thefts? What other reason to "pre-pay" for the cheaper gas?

So... You enjoy a good cigar with scotch now?Originally posted by Strychnine View PostNotes from the annual Permian Basin Petroleum Association meeting this week.
This is good because those are all our engines
I love that the summary stars with Denny's word du jour.
"So while there’s no talk of oil prices rising in the near future, the pump jacks in West Texas will still be pumping for the foreseeable future."

Notes from the annual Permian Basin Petroleum Association meeting this week.
“In the service business, it’s chicken or feathers. One day it’s good, one day it’s bad. You have to keep your powder dry -- you have to be able to weather these storms. They’re coming.”
- Clint Walker, general manager of CUDD Energy Services
James Newman, senior vice president of regional operations for Basic Energy Services, said that his company was not concerned about its drop in market capitalization, which has halved in the last three months due to the drop in oil prices. He said that labor is a more pressing issue for him as his company tries to provide well servicing to local drillers.
“Qualified, experienced labor,” said Newman about what his company needs. “We ramped up our training programs (and) our safety programs to compensate for the less experienced folks. We run several man camps in the areas, so we bring in more experienced folks from different areas of the country."This is good because those are all our enginesChris Menefee, vice president of business development at oil startup Independence Contract Drilling, which has built a half dozen highly advanced drilling rigs, said his company’s strategy has been built around established operators.
“Do you ramp up or slow down?” Menefee said is his biggest question. “We just have to take the lead from the operators. That’s why we partnered ourselves with some of those that, at $80 oil, (will) continue to drill rather than some of those that are spot operators. That’s the way we try to combat (the drop in oil prices), is to partner with the people who are going to be able to drill through the cycles.”
