The Virginia shooter was nuts and was having an irrational fag, victim, and racial persecution hissy fit that cost him and 2 other people their lives. The Houston shooter is a completely different animal and is of a type that is EXTREMELY dangerous.

Do not make the mistake of underestimating what you are up against by belittling the tactics used. Tipping the odds in your favor is not cowardice for either side of an encounter. Remind yourself of the old adage "There is no such thing as a fair fight" and realize that is what you are going to have to deal with from now on.

Edit: Do you remember the DC sniper? Remember how 2 men with one rifle and an $800 car basically shut down the mid east coast for a week or two? Once these clowns wise up and start using those tactics you are going to be screwed. Imagine 2-3 teams operating independently at the same time in every major US city. Or how about the IRA? A group that never had more than 900 members at a given time fucked up shit for 50 + years on the other side of the pond and the mere mention of them getting pissed again has LE over there shitting themselves anytime it comes up.

My hope has always been that this will happen while I am still young enough to help effect the outcome and I can not wait for it to kick off. It is time to rid the nation of the dead weight that we have been carrying. To me it is pretty clear which side will win.

Such a shame.. a lot of the leo guys I know are no longer commuting to or from work in uniform for this very reason. Hopefully the shooter rots in hell
