Surely you can't be this dense. Did shanaynay steal your login? Go buy that pencil case and alarm clock online. Disassemble just as the kid did and place it in the case. Then, try taking it with you and opening it somewhere like a courthouse, the Federal Reserve, or maybe DFW. Be sure to post up here and let us know how it works out for you in case we miss the news.Originally posted by 03mustangdude View PostHe wasn't supposed to build the clock from scratch?
He wanted to disassemble a alarm clock as a project for some engineering class.
That alarm is purely in the hands of the awesome police officers of irving. That same statement can be used if i brought a lego minifigure holding a mini case that says bomb on it. If the awesome police officer thinks its a real bomb, which clearly its not, then that portion of the law can be applied.

Lets play find the explosives.
I can't find any???
It looked like a bomb and 'ticked' like a bomb, but it wasn't a bomb. I file it under hoax, and while I think ultimately they overreacted, the kid and his family aren't innocent.

Are you playing dumb? Or are you really dumb?
In his own words, it was something he did on his own time that he "wanted to show" his Engineering teacher. Why would he want to show a teacher the guts of a dismantled clock? Maybe... maybe... it was to get the reaction that he got. But that teacher told him to put it away and don't let anyone else see it.Originally posted by 03mustangdude View PostHe wasn't supposed to build the clock from scratch?

Which of course, he did not do, and let an English teacher see it. The English teacher is the one that notified school administration, who called the cops.
That's right. It's officer discretion. If you bring something that looks like a bomb to school, and then refuse to answer questions about it, guess what - you're going to be arrested. And of course I can't find any explosives, you dumb fucker - it is a HOAX bomb, not a bomb. That alarm is purely in the hands of the awesome police officers of irving. Went off since the backup battery failed.Originally posted by Baron Von Crowder View PostYou arent right, but i have a feeling it doesnt matter to you.
He didnt have a project remotely related to this for school. This was just him acting on his own accord.
Also, since he didnt get the reaction he was looking for, he set the alarm to go off during class.
Took initiative in school.
Doesn't matter to me whatsoever but everyone wants to kill isis. One clock kid at a time.
