Hes one of the key reasons a few of the old and many of the new members left. Old members got tired of his dumb shit, and new members didnt realize he was unqualified to dish out the judgement he tried to pass off. He invested way too much of his self worth in this place, and when he saw it was basically dead last year he seems to have realized it was worth nothing.

The last 2-3 years of his posts were just rants with matt and attempting to make himself seem like less of a loser. I dont think he was always that bad...but there were wore members to cloud him out in the past.

Not alll forums or dying...this place just ate itself.

Forums are slowly dying because of social media and sites like reddit. Forums software hasnt kept up with the times. If forums had an open API, it would be so much easier to integrate and keep people interested, but all the best platforms are full of closed source mentality.

The community isn't dying, just the medium.

Yeah mentioned it last year and a lot of folks get weird about it. As far as I can tell, members go away and any new ones don't seem to post much or at all.

That's precisely why I like this place. Well, one main reason anyway. It's insulated from social media, which I have to use as an extension of work, so there are limitations on what I can say. DFWM provides much more freedom for me.

I couldn't care less about the software as long as it works like it does now.

I agree, social media is affecting all forums, funny thing is that I hit facebook once a month and I am here daily, I much prefer forums to facebook, they deliver the information in such a different way.
