Fuck I almost forgot about the seat squeeks. Excuse me while I cancel the clown, dog's going to have to wait a while on his birthday party till I can get this fixed.

Check out stage 3 motor sports. They even offer a full warranty (for a price) that will pay to replace the engine/drivetrain if a failure occurs due to their tune.

As a backup, I've always thought Livernois was a trusted name in the business...what are some others that folks are having good results from?

I've heard good things from livernois and a couple others. I'm trying not to spend too much money on the truck, but if I get a tune, I will go with a 5 star tune.

It's not as radical of a tune as some of the others but most report that they pick up a good bit while also getting better mpg (when not in boost of coarse). 5 star even offers warranties for their tunes. I've never heard of anyone hurting their motor on a 5 star tune. There's a guy on that forum I mentioned claiming 186k miles and has had a 5 star tune since 25k miles.

True Story... The interior on my 11' is very cheap looking compared to some of my previous GM junk. But in regards to longevity I have a tahoe with over 300k (100% original drive train less small "wear items".) and a 1/2 Ton Z71 with 248k that are retired to ranch/lake duty but both are still going strong.

Anyway back on regular topic. With a good safe tune the ecoboost is putting down AWESOME numbers.

    I'd like to run a 6.2 sometime. I've run a 5.3 and a 4.8 and I've had truck lengths on both.

I'm a bit partial to how nice my truck is because before it I've never owned anything newer than 10 years at any time haha.

Ford F-150 EcoBoost Owners is one of the better groups out there I've seen. This was just a quick search and I got tired of taking screen shots. There are pages and pages about them.

There is a lot of good info in some Facebook groups. There are a couple groups ran by ssi and they delete anything immediately that says anything bad about them. Ecoboost performance is one of them.

The owner is an ass and straight up doesn't care. Shawn Ellis is his name. He makes fast tunes because he turns it up passed the safe mark and it's only a matter of time before failure. There are dozens and dozens of accounts I've seen from this tuner that are negative or worse.

I hope the pics show, I've never used tapatalk to put up pics.

That's something that can be said for the GM trucks too....regardless of corner cutting on interior and such, there are a lot of them out there with 200K+ miles still running strong. Aside from the 5.3 cam/lifter issues, they will rack up some miles.

The EB is still a bit new to make that same claim, I've seen a lot of them advertised with 100K+ already, but still a little early to tell on the 200K+ claims....and it's safe to say that is a much higher replacement cost vs a 5.3 or 6.0 from GM. Just some things to consider.

Then coming home it was cold and foggy and I had been highway cruising for about an hour. When I went to pass a semi at 60, floored it and got hesitation and limp mode. Restarted it in neutral and all was good. I figure it has been building up for a few days with cold and high humidity with no full throttle.

That has been the only issue in 40k miles. Oh and putting larger/Heavier tires will kill your MPG, same as any truck.

A lot of guys are drilling a 1/16" weep hole in the bottom of the lower part of the CAC.

Have two 6.2s currently and they are great.

Have an Employee that has an EB and loves it. It's been in the shop a few times but nothing serious and it was covered under warranty.

I'd own either but we've ended up in a GM product the last few times.
