you might want to check out this recent post in a local forum. It appears that a citizen is trying tactics to beat a red light camera citation.

Just got a red light ticket in the mail. Didn't the state make red light ticket cameras..unlawful might be the wrong word, but perhaps inadmissible for leveraging a fine sometime last year? I know it is civil, so I don't have to worry about a warrant, and I'm sure as shit not going to pay it. Dallas has been trying to collect

You do know they can charge you for research by the hour and documents by the page, right?

Your insurance will now probably go up. Maybe you should call someone about it.

You also have a right to face your accusor, so subpeona the red light camera to court so it can testify against you.

I read about a guy a few years back that researched the shit out of this theory to fight a ticket and turns out the light was like 30 milliseconds too short so he won his case. Only cost him a couple thousand dollars in legal fees.

Ive gotten at least 10 of them in Arlington. I have yet to pay one and nothing has been on my credit report since. Here is how it they try to collect.

    Original "violation"
Second Violation notice with a $25.00 late charge added.
    First notification From Collection Agency

I've mailed them a picture of $75.00 before and I have also mailed them a xerox copy of my middle finger.

My wife got 1 in Southlake and they sent one made out to me, I was laid in bed 2 days after knee surgery when she got it. I called them stated I was driving they said yes you were you ran the light we have a video of you doing it plus pictures. I asked them what do I look like if I was driving and how the fuck did a southlake cop sign the ticket if your in Chandler AZ? I told them were I was and that I did not drive the car in question, they demanded I provide them who it was, I politly told them to kiss my ass and since they have all that expensive equipment taking pictures they should know who the fuck was driving. They told me it would go on my credit and I would be able to register the car until it was paid, the car has been registered twice and nothing on my credit.
DON'T pay them, tell them to kiss your right nut and swallow.
