I didn't say cops shouldn't get due process. That process should be massively expedited however. IF there's a video of you breaking the public trust and your oath, the due process should go like this:

"Is there a video?"

"Yes your honor."

"Anything to say that could explain this? No? You are black listed from every having a law enforcement job in Texas for the rest of your life. You violated the public trust and your oath. You are a disgrace that I will not punish the public with any longer. Get out. Officers, take him to his cell."

That fast. Video of you breaking the law or the public trust = immediate blacklisting. No union forcing police departments to keep bad cops, no tying things up and keeping the tax payer paying for these fucks. Immediate action.

I don't have a double standard. You violate your oath (military, police, government agent) you should be handled harshly. It should be a reminder of what happens when you use your authority wrong.
