When your shop gets overwhelmed with work, the "main guy" doesn't get to do all the work and you get a sub-par shop rat who may or may not do the same "quality" work you've become used to. Or, your customer started out on a "BIG" budget and near the end of the project - runs out of money.. and says something like "get it done, I don't care what it looks like". The same reasons I don't open a shop, the same reasons i work by myself.

    Truth.

    I've fixed stuff like:
    • lamp cord used to wire an MSD box
    • short block failed - die grinder'd valve reliefs
    • strange brakes installed with brackets on wrong side of car (VERY BAD!)
    • multiple gear sets that whined beyond belief
    • LOTS of "fabrication"
    • LOTS of headgaskets
    • replaced "stolen" parts

Another vote for it not being Dallas Mustang as Noah is top notch and would never put his name on work like that.

The shop was supposed to be doing a tranny and clutch swap along with a tune. Things went horribly wrong due to the "slam bam get er done fuck it it's not my car" attitude and they had to pull the transmission 2 more times to fix all the things that were fucked up.
