Yeah. After changing the instant center, it 100% made it a 'different' car. It totally screwed the shock settings. I tightened up the fronts to 7 on this first pass and it literally spun so bad the car hopped up off the ground and landed sideways.

This is the 5th attempt I think. I'll go back and edit shortly, and add the other passes.. but for now.

After a few shock changes and putting the power back into it. The best pass, 60, and MPH todate this pass.

Small update. Borrowed a torque converter from BigThumper to test out with the new 98/88 turbo. It made a big difference, it picked up 200-300RPM on the shift, and dropped 600RPM on the top end.

First pass was bad, I turned it down because of not bieng sure what the new converter would do to it. The car launched like a turd and started making some headway about 100' out. Kinda what I expected.. Then at about 600' it got REAL loose and over into Dville's lane. He ran 5.84. Expand the screen and watch the end of the video as the car passes the lights.

2nd pass was better, turned it up to where it was the previous week. Carried the wheels a lot further and 60'd 1.30 (not as good as it's done in the past).

Thanks man! I'll 'pretty it up' this winter depending on how things go with the shop, work flow etc.

Here's a fairly major update. Got the new turbo installed, a precision PT98/88. It took some getting used to, I thought it would be a monster to spool up, but it wasn't. The first few passes are actually me modulating the gas pedal trying to see where the engine really takes off, as opposed to it bieng hard to spool.

It's running pretty good now days..

Though I've followed this thread from the beginning, my three year old blessed me with the time (by waking up at 5:45am) to read this build thread from start to finish.

Soooo....Brooks, get ready for some WWBD type questions. Lol.

You still have nearly a week to get it done.

Mine is sitting on jackstands with no trans in it, but I'm going to make it one way or the other!
I am afraid the ECU is smoked. Battery charger let the battery hit 19+v. Not looking forward to sending it to AEM.

That and working nights it is just hard to get motivated in the morning to get into the garage.

Awesome work Brooks. I wanted to make this weekend but mine still has not recovered from the dead battery/alternator/running problems it developed overnight.
