For the money, you can't beat it. It doesn't kick extremely hard, but with the steel butt plate, it is a little stout. It is still fun to shoot, though. I haven't shot it at paper to see how accurate it is, but it seems pretty close as far as I can tell. You might also look at those Lee Enfields. I put a micrometer sight on a No.4 Mk. 1 and it shoots terrific for a WWII surplus rifle. They are around 200-275 bucks. Are you the Mike that he calls "Muffin"?
I'm good with a VSF or Sandaro. I'm not in a hurry to buy anything, so I'll just keep checking gun shows for a good deal. I've stocked up on pistols, it's time to move on to rifles. I was talking with Ed about the Mosin Nagant yesterday. He mentioned shooting yours. How do you like it? I might pick one up next week.
No, I was on lunch break. Were you wanting the VSSF? I found it used at a gun show, but Remington is still making new ones of those. The Senderos are basically the same thing if you can find one of those too.
