  • NayNay's C10

This is gonna take a long time to load. so you're better off checking out the next guy's post.

    Anyways here goes.

this is a pic, pretty much how I took ownership. My dad bought this truck from his boss' dad in 1980. I was born in 82. My grandfather bought it off my dad and it stayed in Corsicana from 84ish-2008. I finally got it "back to town" but that was really alvarado, tx. not close to me at all.

    pic in alvarado as delivered:

So it was a big pile of poo, my grandfather worked for the school district in the bus barn and they did a number on this thing. I kept coming up with different ideas for the truck. always wanted to keep it simple though. no need for this to be a daily, this is an heirloom.

    I bought a 80 lwb c10 with a 350/350 for $700

RIP to my brindle boxer Squeak

scored a set of 22" wires.. literally paid $100 for all four. needed these because they used adapters and i would be able to have the same wheels all around with 5 lug disc up front and 6 lug drum out back.

    the crossmember as delivered.

so anyways this is all 4 or 5 years ago.. hold tight and i will fast forward some.

It's just more shit to go wrong/keep up with. If I were starting over I would go with a nice coil over set up. With that said I'm not starting over.

I guess all those pics went down? not sure how or why..

a few parts have come in, i've opened a few boxes that have been sitting around, and been messing with this thing a bit more. this is just for pics though, i'll be back after the holidays when i have something to show.

new CPP power brake booster/master assembly. I have like 3 or 4 reman'd/junkyard boosters sitting around, but i just want to do as much of it as i can, one time and one time only.

I also got the Holley 302-2 muscle car swap oil pan. There were cheaper options, but it seems that everyone i talked to had a different experience, and it came down to "you get what you pay for". this was like $370 from summit i wanted to try the f-body pan but figured by the time i sourced everything i'd peobably be in it for the same price. This is needed to clear the cross member, as that is the lowest part of the truck.

I needed the motor, because i decided to pick up a complete pull out from a 2003 suburban, complete with harness, pcm, and a few extra things. only 79k on this, vs. the 180k partially disassembled 2001 5.3 i i have on the stand.

I also took BMCSeans advice on the Bosch electric sander and have been making some progress with the cab to get it one color at least.
