                With those ports, it's literally a 1.5" barrel. If it's a .357, I would guess you're not even going to get 9mm velocity out of it.

                  That bad huh? So does the loss in velocity outweigh any advantages of the port job with quicker follow up shots?

                    Uhh.. yes, carry a smaller 9mm, they will have the same ballistics and you'll be packing more rounds. I'm sure muzzle flip on a nice chunky revolver with a good trigger job is not bad at all. I have a smaller j frame that I can dump the cylinder on and pit all rounds on target good enough. People act like 357 is a damn cannon.

                        It's hard to say, I think the ports and proximity to your face would likely cause more inaccuracy than it would save.
