I started a thread for it a while back, then the dreaded volvo TCM happened.
Why the fuck would they use a potentiometer out of contact parts. Fucking stupid!!! It's waiting on an Xmodex tcm rebuild and a catback. Already has an IPD softloader, downpipe and intake. Shits on semi stock fox's, lol.

Pass on lsx and turbo the 2.5. Much more fun and a ton less work.

Ton more money, trm, blow through tune-$2kish, clutch close to $1k.
I have had m50's to s54's. I like them but I'd rather try /5.3a turbo 4.8 that makes 6xxhp and has torque as well. I will be selling the m-series though if you know anyone who's interested. Plus I want to have a car that turns heads again.

Sweet project. I'd love to have a e36 or 46 LSx car.

How hard will it be to retain A/C and heat? If I were to ever do one i'd like it to have all the comfort stuff.

Ok, I want to order wheels within the next couple weeks. I'm on the edge between 2 choices.

                  M parallel's in an 18x8

                  D-Force LTW5 in 17x8

The M-Pars are cheaper, but heavier. Ltw5's are light (15.5lbs), but they are mo-spensive.

Shouldn't be hard, most guys use all bmw components and a 318 a/c compressor using a custom or modified stock bracket. Heat won't be an issue, just some splicing of hoses and routing of the heater valve.

Nice, I'm leaning towards them. I figure the few extra pounds will be offset by the weight loss elsewhere and the money saved can go to the suspension.
I need to get the rest of my delrin, poly bushings and limiters.

If you aren't going to get a NICE brake setup, go with the M-pars, if you are, go with the ltw-5's IMO.

Brakes will be budget, 330i calipers, brackets and rotors. Stainless lines and good ebc pads.

I was looking at New age hotrods, but too much $$$$ Most likely Nash, Vorshlag or Samberg. Just the motor and transmounts though. I'll have a custom clutch line made, relocate/extend the abs on my own, local driveshaft shop, stock steering shaft. I'll wire it myself (even though I hate wiring). I just haven't made up my mind on exhaust.
