It's starting to look like a car again.

edit: Mopar engine selection is weird, but have fun with it.

I'm a very big dodge and srt guy. But mustang has always been my favorite car. Why not make it a car that to me , is the best of both worlds? Should be a cool little ride when it's all said and done. Thanks

So are you going to go AJE or MII on the front?

Not sure right now what I'm going with. But for now I'm gonna stick to the factory stuff. I'll look into it more once I get the drivetrain situated. If there is one that makes the engine swap simpler I'll go with whatever one works better for that.

Got the wheel well replaced today. Time to tidy up all of this rust. Blah. Then I can pull the rear glass and get the guarded panel ready to be buttoned up.

And now on to the opposite side. Doors should be here this week, maybe Thursday or so

And I've also decided to put a ford motor in it for now just to get it on the road at some point. Gotta re work the brakes first. Think I'm gonna do mustangsteves disc conversion so I can run 13" cobra rotors and pads. Should be sweet. And I think I'm going with fr500 wheels. Can't wait to get further along.

You sure about that? My 17's (not FR's) clear just fine. It's usually 16's that have that issue.

I'll have to double check. The brake conversions require 17" wheels and up.

It's the 9" wheel is too wide on a 17, an 18 is tall enough to clear

That makes sense. I'd personally lean toward a narrower version, but a 67+ can get away with more wheel. 18's just look a little too big on 65-66, to my eye anyway. There are of course, excrptions to that rule.

Lol true. I do believe I'll be sticking to the 17s. I really like that wheel dimension on these cars , 18s in my opinion , although are only an inch larger, I just think they look too big.

Looks great. I just think the car sits a little too high

Man, those wheels look bad ass on that car. Making the pro-touring look work in the best way. I really like the color of them too.

I've been fantasizing about building a trans am-ish coupe for the street just for fun. I love my car but I think it would be really fun to have one that was a little ratty so I could hoon it down a dirt road without having kittens about paint and what not.

I love the look of this flared coupe here:
