Door installed

, got the right side sheet metal basically done now.
Just gotta weld up the seem on the quarter a bit better, then puddy it up along with a couple of other spot welds on the seem on the rear trunk area. Door went on great and lined up pretty wel for the most part. Mocked up the fender just to see the look.

Hahah thanks. It's all nuts and bolts at the end of the day (minus the welding).
I'm waiting on my welder to come in so I can start back up with the welding. The welder I have right now is a POS and it's making it's much harder than it needs to be.

Got the new welder and holy crap what a difference a good welder can do. Got the drivers quarter 90% off and got the wheel well out. Gonna start on the sail panel seem and remove the rest of the quarter panel and get to installing the new one. Got the new trunk extension welded in too.

That's cool. If I were going with something other than chrome on the bumpers, I'd consider fiberglass bumpers just for weight savings.

They do sell some nice carbon fiber ones too online. I may look into those as wel. The cars are light as it is. Not too concerned about weight savings.

True, but adding lightness where you can is cool. Fiberglass bumpers are part of my fantasy Trans Am coupe build.

Dang that is pretty sweet. Only thing I'd personally change on that car would be the hood. Everything else is pretty sweet.

Yeah, Trans Am rules back in the day required stock hood with no scoop. I personally like the '67 Shelby 2-nostril hood that fits the stock Mustang front end. Heck, that one even looks good on a 65-66 hood.

Edit: you may have been talking about the blacked-out hood. That was common on Trans Am cars, but not all of them had it.

Cowl hoods are for Chevys, IMO.

Really? I've had a couple of foxes with cowls, I see a ton of fox coupes with cowls. They aren't as common as the 64-69 years I suppose. Could be cool to be different

Oh they're right at home on a Fox body. But pre-73 Fords, a cowl just doesn't look right to me. Plus, there are so many other cool options. The 67-68 deluxe hood with turn signal indicators is one of the coolest.
