Whats a good / reasonably priced scope to drop on top of a Smith and Wesson 15-22 rifle ? Just target shoots and the occasional squirrel that wont leave when told to do so..

Can't go wrong with a Weaver for a rimfire. 2.5 - 7 x 28 That's what I have on my .17 HMR. I can shoot tacks at 100 yds.

Budget wise, I just threw a Leupold VX-1 3-9x50 on a .308. I think they may be discontinued, but you can get one for ~$300.
No mil-dot or MOA reticle, just a crosshair, but if you set it up for MPBR (max point blank range, so 275 yds for my gun) it's pretty great. EDIT: I'm an idiot, just realized you're talking about a .22. Why not a 1 MOA red dot? Last edited by Strychnine; 04-10-2021 at 10:27 PM. |

Go with the red dot. I have a Primary Arms micro on a 10/22 take down and love it.

my 15-22 came with a red/green dot that seems to be decent enough

Just get a Primary Arms 1-2 MOA Red Dot and be done with it.
