so not much to update on this car. It's in the garage now and I have a new render of the paint with the flared and opened fenders I am going to do.

Also I have figured out what I want to do with the car. I've always wanted an 83-86 bird, but the plan of how to use it wasn't decided. I now know I want to do drag week. It's been something I've always wanted to do but imagined it would be in the turbo ranger. lol everyone I know who's drag weeked a turbo 2.3 has had a bad time. I'm thinking a heads cam and intake 351 with twin turbo's will be the power plant. I'm also set to keep it an automatic. The half baked plan is to first get the thing driving as is. do the paint and body, then work on suspension and chasis, put the 351 in with Holly EFI then build the turbo kit. I'll also be daily driving it till I shake the bugs out. Goal is drag week 2023.

The obvious answer here is coyote swap and twins.

thought about it, but for what I'm looking for, the price doesn't match the goal.

it's sitting in my garage waiting for time and parts. I'm going to pick up front end parts this month in Salt Lake on my way to Washington. after that I'll be able to put the front end together. I did find some rust in the body I'm not happy with, but as long as its not in the sub frames I'm going to fix it and move on. now if I could find a really good deal on a stockcar chassis, I would really really consider dropping the tbird sheet metal on it and finally live my dream of a street legal nascar. I sold my buick, and it left yesterday, so I finally have room to drop the trans on the tbird and finally get it running. Things will be happening soon.

Update time, I finally got the car unlocked. lol also found some real rust in the quarter. Kinda changing my plans. I found another bird that looks to be in better condition locally. I'm going to go look at it soon and see if I can get my hands on it. if so it will get me further down the road on the project. It also leaves me with a dilemma of what to do with this car.
a. sell it as is
b. get it running, put the front clip on, and sell it
c. use it as a parts car for the new one
d. get it running, weld the diff, paint it and take it to Cleetus and cars and put it in te burnout contest

what do you guys think?
