She's a liberal democrat? Seriously? You think she's more likely to represent you?

That's a broad stroke.

While on the Fort Worth City Council, Davis supported gun restrictions, including for gun shows at city facilities.[58]

In 2011, she voted against a bill that authorizes concealed handgun permit holders to carry concealed handguns while on the campus of an institution of higher education.[59]

In 2013, she voted for a bill establishing certain tax exemptions for firearms manufacturers, along with a bill that authorizes certain university students to transport a licensed handgun or ammunition in a locked motor vehicle on a college or university campus.[59]

On February 6, 2014, she expressed support for a proposed open carry gun law in Texas, which is currently banned under Texas state law. The state senator from Fort Worth said such a law should allow private property owners to determine whether weapons could be openly carried on their property. She also said background checks and training requirements would "help ensure that only mentally stable, law-abiding citizens may carry, whether concealed or open."[60] She later said that she believes municipalities should be able to decide whether the proposed open carry and existing concealed carry laws should be used in their limits.[61]

Just did some more reading on Davis. Yeah, she doesn't have a great track record either. Wouldn't it be awesome if we had a candidate that was a Libertarian that had a chance?

I don't like Abbott, but Davis is a disaster. Gratefully, the TX governor isn't as strong as the position in other states.

On Davis i just have a real problem with voting for someone who can't get off the starting line of the race without lying.

Any liberal running in Texas is going to try and portray themselves as a conservative. It's the only way to get elected in this state. Once they have the office, they're just going to toe the liberal line.

I fucking despise that fucking gimp Greg Abbott, and every goddamned thing he sits for. But, I've also got a problem with a rabid cunt that uses a man to foot her bill through law school, then runs out on him and her children. I'd vote third party even if it were a "wasted vote." Politics these days are fucking pathetic.

I wish that sack of spineless shit would get up out of that wheelchair and talk to someone like a man instead of the fucking pussy he is.

He made a post yesterday about how if he was governor he's going to shut down human trafficking. Luckily I got there first and was able to somewhat set the tone of the conversation with a reply of "Like you did when you were AG?"

He may be more inline with you. Anybody but Davis, unless you want Texas to be Democrat.

The one thing you need to know about Wendy Davis, her biological daughter decided to choose Davis' Ex, the girl's stepfather, to live with after the divorce.

Funny, other than a few state rep and senate seats there are no "liberals" in Texas politics. It`s all conservatives holding the power, blaming "liberals" for their lack of effective governing, and a voting base that believes it.

Watching this years election ads by the Republicans would make one think it was the Democrats actually in power causing all of the problems.

Sounds about right.

Even funnier is how since Perry is leaving and all the conservatives are "moving up" in offices -- they all portray themselves as some sort of "conservative hero" that needs to be elected to that office to "clean it up" after some sort of Liberal fiasco messded it up.

PS. I did vote in the GOP Primaries to support all the "whack jobs" so hopefully they win their respective nominations and flip a guaranteed GOP win into a toss-up

I agree, there is not enough unemployment in Texas. Let's get some Democrats in there so we can turn this state into the next Illinois!

I don't see why you're so hell bent on painting Dems as some sort of special endangered species when they all do the same goddamned things you complain about the republicans doing.

Eric, when you are a liberal you don't let things like facts interrupt the narrative. Things like how 9 out of 10 members of congress with the lowest net worth are Democrats. Or how the states that are in the worst financial shape are run by Democrats. Or how the states with unemployment that is higher than giraffe pussy are run by Democrats and have been for decades.

Go Democrats! We have to get these people in office asap, this LabiainTX guy knows his shit.

Oh it`s Illinois now? Get tired of using Detroit as an analogy?

When you allow low wage employers to come in and set up shop ( with large tax abatements ) and force their employees unto welfare programs to make up the difference then I guess your unemployment rate will be lower than a state that does mandate more than $7.25 an hour.
