Glad to hear you're recovering.

I was beginning to think I had it this past weekend. Saturday both the wife and I came down with what we thought was bad allergies. She started feeling better by Sunday but could not taste food. I was still tired, stuffy, and extremely weak. I also had a cough from the drainage and literally slept most of the day Monday. I'm still not 100% though but I seriously think it's allergies with me.

I'm sorry you got it and so glad you are recovering. It sucked. 6 weeks sick for me and still dealing with issues. Everyone else in the house (4 others) had it and didn't get it near as bad....husband worked from home the whole time, would just crash when the fever would come up. Not tasting anything or smelling anything was awful. It comes back but slowly for some.

Maybe it’s how sick I feel, because I was around back then and I don’t get the reference.

Update,
I just can’t friggen keep my fever under control. I’m either 100+ with cold chills and body aches or sweating my bloody ass off. The shortness of breath is worse today than it’s been and I’m pretty wiped out over all. Though my blood oxygen is still above the danger zone. I can still taste somethings, but others I can’t. Coffee this morning tasted like warm water, and the Indian food the other night (normally my favorite) was so terrible I could only manage two bites. My Chest is starting to hurt a bit, and if that doesn’t go away soon I’m afraid I’m hospital bound.

I thought I had COVID a few weeks back. Then I had sushi and it was delicious and decided I drank myself into a hole the day before (I had) which caused the cold chills and shit feel.

Get better man.

In all seriousness - sorry you got it. I am kind of jealous, now you will the antibodies to fight it in the future, assuming you don't get a different strain.

That sounds exactly like what I went through at the end of December last year. 10 days straight with 100+ fever no matter what, stayed in bed most of the time, worst cough I've ever had after the 3rd day. Negative for the flu, but diagnosed with Pneumonia, cough lasted from Jan 1 - end of Feb... It was March before I was feeling better.

Sadly, there will be other strains; it’s a virus. Long term we are probably stuck with this BS.

I think I'm finally getting better. It turned into pneumonia pretty quick and cleaned my clock. 10+ days of high fever, lack of air, lack of hunger, cold chills, sweating like a mad man, nasty coughing fits, did I mention the chills? two trips to the ER and I'm down over 15lbs from when this whole mess started. I'm not going to lie, this has been awful. but as I said I think I'm finally almost done.

Too bad Biden isn't in office. You wouldn't have contracted the chinese virus because he's going to save us all.

Glad you survived and back on the mend. Take care of yourself and your family. I, personally know a few that didn't fare nearly as well. RIP.

On a side note, I won a couple of bets from friends that said the rona would be awol after the election. I spent the extra funds to stock up on masks and tp.

technically the election's still going you cashed out early, if this was a slap bet the'd owe you three slaps.
I don't think the rona is going anywhere till they are sure they've milked us for as much freedom as they can, then also they have to be able to give bidan 100% credit for curing it. if they can still connect a cure to trump, we aren't getting it.

glad your mending . any flu sucks . although it has been years since i was sick i can remember feeling like i was not going to survive a bout of the flu . getting out of the city was the best thing i ever did . texas is still in pretty good shape. only 29 per 100k new cases . most in border areas then moving to big cities .

this election blows . no way in hell the % of mail in votes rejected could go from 3% to .3% .

I'm 99% sure I got it from work. I started working again this past Saturday, and my whole department was out with it. I'm back, my boss is back, and one of the other guys will be back friday. but it smoked us hard.
