Honesty and letting people speak freely really scares the shit out of a lot of people these days. Given that you know there really is evil intent by all they do. Rogan is good. I really liked the interviews he had with the environmental experts recently. I love how the one expert made every excuse to not defend his position in a debate too. That’s really all you need to know. Joe brought that out subtlety and brilliantly.

his two to three hour interview format is so much better than a five minute interview especially over serious topics. Hell i bet i've only heard Dr. Fauci talk about covid 5 minutes at a time in two years!

That's the only thing about the wall and a closed border. The next group of idiots can just reopen it. So maybe it alternates every 4 (or 8) years, with loads of illegals flowing in when the dems are in control.

Hopefully we can get some mass deportation going, and eventually get them all out along with kids and any grandkids.

On a related note I was out of the country last week and when we came back through customs there wasn't anyone there. Like we literally were waived through the gates and told to have a nice day. TABC was there screaming about throwing you in jail and fines if you didn't declare and pay duty on alcohol and tobacco but the 3-4 customs guys were just standing around smiling.

This was on a cruise btw, I really hope airports and actual borders are a little more strict. The cruise customs guys usually are.

ATF? Tabs regulates alcohol sales in Texas. They don’t do anything with tobacco

Tell those assholes that because they try to collect $1.50 per pack at the port.

Is this new? Pre COVID, I flew internationally a lot and always bought lots of alcohol in duty free. I always declared it at customs and they never asked for a dime.

The laws aren't new, the TABC just started cashing in on it. Technically if you go to Oklahoma and bring back a case of beer (OKC has some awesome breweries) the state expects you to pay a tax on it. They clearly don't have the staffing to enforce roadways or the legal authority to stop someone.

Oops. Every time I go to Colorado for work I bring home something i can't get here. I did confirm I can fit three 6-packs in my suitcase, as well as a few days worth of clothes, etc.

Any idea how high the tax would be if enforced?

The addiction to fees and taxes is insane.

$3.50 a case, which is the maximum the state allows. They reserve the right to destroy anything beyond that. Note the TABC took over federal enforcement, all of their rules where intended for international border crossings but the language reads as imported and doesn't specify what that means.

They clearly don't have the personnel to collect taxes on every car driving into the state, they can barely cover the cruise terminal and certainly not enough for airports and international crossings and I'm sure once they did someone would sue and get clarification on the language.

Just as an example of how they interpret the law though. If you fly to Houston from Toronto as a Canadian citizen and catch a cruise line shuttle directly from the airport to the terminal, and go back the same method they fully expect you to pay an import duty before setting foot on Texas soil. Even though you're getting into a shuttle back to an airport and will never have a chance to consume the alcohol in Texas, or really in the United States for that matter.
