Default Any issues selling to Carvana, CarGurus, etc?

Need to seek the wife's jeep and wondering if they do any weird last minute nonsense.

Don't know about the online people, but Carmax did great for me these past few years. A quick inspection and they cut me a check for more than fair value.

I sold my '18 Explorer Sport to Carvana last year. It was probably the easiest car deal I have ever done. It was done all online, filled out all the info on their website including my lien holder (FoMoCo Credit). In a few days they showed up, looked over the vehicle, wrote down the milage and VIN, I signed the paperwork and they left. They put a lock box on the window with the keys and few hours later a tow truck showed up and took it away.

No haggling, no waiting for the salesperson to go talk to the manager, no let them hold on to your keys, no bullshit. I did see where the re-sold it for $3500. more than what they paid me, but hey that's business. If wanted the extra $3500. I would have had to list it and deal with morons.

My '21 Aviator I ordered came early and those thieves at Lincoln offered $5k less than Carvana for my Explorer. I didn't have to put anything down and I had to give Carvana a check for $1k to pay off the difference I owed and that was fine with me. Out of the three Carvana, Zoom and Carmax, Carvana offered the most.

Carmax made about $1200 on my camaro and they lost their ass on my Mustang. They moved it all over the place, finally sold it for $2000 less than they gave me.

Fuck that place. I finally sold my FILs S-10 last Friday, but 63+ people inquired about it and only two people out of the 63 actually showed up and only one person bought it. I had to buy a burner phone (highly recommend doing this) and if you do go this route be prepared for all kinds of stupid offers and ignorant people. In the end it sold but it took almost three months and lots of dealing with morons.

Update on the shit show.

Ended up just trading the car until Tesla. When we ordered the car back in February, their offer was low, so that's why I was looking around elsewhere. When we got closer to the delivery date, the updated offer was right on with Carvana which was the highest.

1st delivery date: didn't make the shipment, or needed some sort of inspection.

2nd delivery date:. They forgot to get to plates, didn't notice till the date before (Saturday), tax office closed until tuy for memorial day.

3rd delivery date: took 2hrs to get written confirmation of partial cash back from trade in. Show up, no signs where to go, they basically said wander around the lot to find your car. Too old to be playing Pokemon in the heat. Asked what to do with the trade in? "Oh, just leave it." What about the keys? "Oh, I guess I can take them.". What about the title? "You didn't mail that back yet?". Just make sure and drop it at ups tomorrow.". That company must be so compartmentalized, seemed that nobody ever knows what's going on. I guess customer service goes out the window when you're the manufacturer and the dale is already done.

Wife loves the car, so that's a plus.

My S.I.L. just sold his '21 Tesla Y, too many issues, random light bulbs going out, frunk and trunk hatch rattling door seals leaking water and sunroof. He actually got more in trade in on new RAM pickup than he paid for it.

Good luck with your EV...

Yeah, trade in is crazy for these cars, plus the price has gone up 5k since we ordered so a little security if we don't end up liking it. We both have a 60 mile round trip commute.

Oh man that EV will suit ya'll well.

I really like their Model X SUV with the gullwing rear doors, but my wifes commute is 14 mile each way and she only works 3 days a week now and I'm retired, so fossil fuel vehicles for us atm...

BTW Pics?
