As it relates to food - You've all heard it. Restaurants are getting killed. Consider gift cards, picking up take out, etc. Restaurants and travel industries will be among the hardest hit. We've never seen anything like this. Even when the economy is bad, people still have to eat. As far bars, business increases when the economy is bad. Sharks are circling in the water. Brinker Corporate is working from home, as are many other chains. D&B has halted construction on all of their jobsites. Chain customers are cancelling orders as quickly as they placed them. We took a company wide pay cut yesterday. Will evaluate again at end of the month. We're 80-90% certain we will be furloughing som employees. I still believe it will come back as sharply as it fell, but we've got to weather the storm first.

In regards to meats and such, don't forget about the US Foods Chefstore. Anyone can shop there, but obviously it's buying in bulk. Restaurant Depot too if you have a tax ID.

As it relates to the economy/mortgage industry - Here are a few articles I linked on my facebook page.

https://www.cnbc.com/amp/2020/03/15/...PckM5Z7Jnu1mqs

https://www.nationalmortgagenews.com...2yEepCyNP34Kmg

https://www.cnbc.com/2020/03/16/fed-...jKeJXdrAWN9lTk

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/artic...8YBrn2h2L6Ddpk

And some personal commentary.
Speaking as a debtee/lender here, and I am not speaking from a place of judgement. I’m trying to help those that may need it.

If your job has been or will be impacted by the health crisis; the absolute WORST thing you can do is hide from your creditors. If they call, answer. Better yet, be proactive. Call them! Tell them what’s happening. Many of these people are facing the same uncertainty you are. You might be surprised what they’re willing and able to do. Phone companies are already delaying payments/due dates, etc. I expect you’ll see something from other service providers as well.

I can’t think of a single time in my life where ignoring a problem has made it go away or get better. I get it. When you’re unable to pay your bills it is embarrassing. Humbling. Shameful. Maybe makes you a little sick to your stomach. You want to crawl in a hole and hide. Most of us have been there at one point or another in our lives. Being unable to pay your bills due to an unprecedented worldwide economic and health crisis is VASTLY different than not being able to pay your bills due to bad decisions. We’re all in the same boat, folks. Nobody knows what’s going to happen.

Talk to your creditors. Pay minimums where you can. Make arrangements where you can’t. But above all, just communicate. I will bend over backwards for someone that is open with me.

If this is true, you peeps with kids may want to get to the stores and stock up on food
The old friend of a friend who has a cousin, whose uncle knows a guy who golfs with a fed judge, eh?

It's estimated that roughly 20,000 restaurant employees have been laid off in Dallas. That number will rise as Tarrant County follows suit.

Estimates for NYC restaurant employees that have been laid off are north of 300,000.

for those that need some additional work during this time, i.e. service industry.

Amazon is hiring 100k employees at distribution centers, grocery stores are hiring night time stockers, etc.

Nevada as of yesterday is going to beat them all. All non essential businesses, casinos and bars that don't serve food closed for 30 days.

Our friend in the restaurant industry just had to layoff 1200 employees. This is the most direct confirmation of the scale of the impact I've seen, and the reality is it's better to be laid off than getting no tips and unable to collect unemployment.

I don't doubt it but I also know it isn't over as far as the layoffs go.

If this is accurate, and I have not heard it yet, don't forget about your four legged friends. I checked and need a bag for them just in case this goes a bit. Knowing it hit Ellis County made me lose sleep last night. Fucking Maypearl of all places.

Some may looks at Amazon as the devil, but if that guy wanted to, he has the power to do some crazy shit. Food deliveries, essentials, prescriptions, tests kits. If you could halt all bill collectors and get people food, the economy would come roaring back after wards.

Shits coming, and sooner rather than later. Wife has a LEO contact via her job who said it's coming soon, at least in Dallas Co.

Probably really idiotic behavior like riots or looting. Due to lack of resources or out of desperation.

@bcoop You posted some really great info. Thanks.

I can't stand when people post vague shit like "it's coming soon". That could be one of a million things at this point.

To me "it" is just a nationwide "shelter in place" mandate that will hurt financially but not much else. I dont think we will see mass rioting and looting like a hurricane.

Exaclty, all you have to do is see whats being done in non-communist countries to help stop of the spreading of this virus. People are being told to stop going out and people are not. So the Gov. and local municipalities have to regulate the population.
I know it sucks and it is infringing on our rights, but some of the these mouth breathers are not listening or taking this seriously.

America will just have the national guard and other military forces out so you at least get the option to get yourself shot.
