  • I'll never buy another headlight restoration kit

I saw this on facebook and decided to try it. HOLY SHIT, this works badass!

The headlights on my 01 Accord beater looked like shit. I hit them with a 3M kit a couple years ago, which worked great, but was time consuming, messy & cost $20. It also only lasted a few months before they turned yellow again.

I had some 40% deet spray at home, and in 2 minutes my headlights looked brand new! Even better than with the kit that took over an hour to do them.

I know it's not permanent, neither are the kits. If I have to spend 2 minutes every couple months to keep them looking new, I can handle that.

Maybe I won't have bugs splattered on my headlights after long road trips anymore

Put it on your windshield to keep them from hitting it at 60mph.

I've always just used a good compound and high speed buffed them. I'm not sure what's so special about those kits. Lots of things will clear them up, hell Brasso works great temporarily.

Bug spray headlight restoration. This is a video to show you how bug spray with DEET, can clean and restore headlights by removing oxidation, haze, and yello...

Anyone who can't keep this shit off their bumper is a fucking idiot. This isn't rocket surgery here.

I wet sand and then buff. Lasts about a year.

                            Brake fluid works well too.

Even better if you follow up with chlorine.
