I think how long it lasts depends on if they get wet. I did mine a week ago and they look brand new. It never rains here, so I expect it to last a long time.

So has anyone tired it to see how long it lasts?

Transmission fluid will last about 5 washes.
Toothpaste will work for about 10.
Most of the $20 kits will give you a solid 3 months or 20 washes before they haze.
Wet sanding and then buffing them with a fine grit compound with a wool pad and applying that plastic protector juice they sell at wally world allows for..... well I have yet to see one rehaze but I have only been doing it that way for about a year now.

Never tried the bug spray.
