ENNIS, Texas (Oct. 4, 2011) – The True Street Motorsports True Street Class will make its debut during Saturday’s Fun Ford Weekend at Texas Motorplex.
The performance shop out of McKinney, Texas specializes in late and early muscle car performance and knows what every Blue Oval owner needs for their high-performance vehicles.
“We can handle anything from exhaust for better sound and performance to fully built motors with blowers, turbos and Nitrous,” True Street Motorsports’ Clint Davis said. “We have more than two decades of experience in making street cars perform. If you can dream it, we can build it.”
The performance of any and all street cars that enter the True Street Motorsports True Street Class will be tested Saturday. True Street participants will take a quick cruise around the Motorplex area between Ennis and Waxahachie and will then head to the staging lanes for hot lap racing. All True Street participants must adhere to the True Street competition rules. Entry is just $35 and the winner will take home a $300 prize. True Street Motorsports will also post a bonus prize for best reaction time of the competition.
Fun Ford Weekend is making its long-awaited return to the national scene after several years of being absent from the car show scene. Fun Ford Weekend combines the Blue Oval love of car shows, show-n-shine, drag racing, swap meets and more. There will be live entertainment this weekend with Tony Ramey performing on stage at noon, followed by Malford Milligan at 2 p.m.
Fans can get tickets for Fun Ford Weekend for as little as $5 by bringing a canned food item for Meals on Wheels. Call (800) MOTORPLEX or go online at www.texasmotorplex.com for more information.
“It’s exciting to have such a dynamic performance business involved in a category that is open to so many potential participants,” Texas Motorplex General Manager Gabrielle Stevenson said. “Fun Ford Weekend is back and it’s going to be better than ever.”
