Ya, thats what I was talking about. It seems like having the speakers in an open chamber like they are could cause some weird sound variances. I know a lot of people go into grave detail about how far away a speaker is to each wall or corner, some calculations and blah, blah, blah. I was just curious if you had experienced any of that or if you just placed them and used where they sat.

I'll be adding some sound deading and a bass trap to the cavity. It's a bit "live", but not like you'd think. The face of the speakers is fairly close to the cavity opening. Certified THX theater's use this method (speakers behind screen) to better tie the dialog of the person speaking with the video. As if the audio is actually coming from the persons mouth. I will dial in the system a little better once all of the wall treatments are in place.
