I still can't believe Ernie said that he didn't hit J.J. in the face, even Charles was like, WTF?!?!?! Not only did Charles (a brawler himself) say that it was a cheap shot but in the green room Charles told Ernie to keep an eye on Artest that he was going to do something.
I heard another ESPN commentator say that this might help the Fakers since Artest wasn't hitting anything (no pun).

Yes, he is. It's the only halftime / post game i'll watch. Also, Barkley was my favorite player growing up and I still have his rookie basketball card in my collection.Originally posted by jdgregory84 View PostIs it just me or is Charles Barkley the best goddamned NBA analyst in the mass media right now? He loves the Mavs and he calls it how it is. He's light on stats and focus's on how teams are playing that day/night. When the mavs win it all, I bet he sheds a few tears.

I agree, he's not afraid to speak his mind and that's what I really like about him.Originally posted by jdgregory84 View PostIs it just me or is Charles Barkley the best goddamned NBA analyst in the mass media right now? He's the Terry Bradshaw of the NBA. Experience says a lot. He is a giant Mav's fan though. He constantly says that it's only a matter of time until they go all the way with Dirk. He says that this is the best Mavericks team to ever exist. With the energy they're playing with right now, he might be right.Originally posted by SouthernSVT View PostI found myself thinking the same thing the other day. I always kinda thought he seemed a little burnt out, but in the end he usually ends up being right. I was very surprised to find myself agreeing with what he was saying alot, plus the photoshop pics that he does and his golf swing crack me up.

Those guys are fuckin jokes. Making excuses for a sore loser. Not that i'm surprised, those two are always full of shit. Besides the hockey comment which was already pointed out, my favorite excuse was that he was already punished by being ejected from the game. How the hell is being ejected from a game that you've already lost with 20 seconds left being punished!?!? He got a head start on the shower and gatorade in the locker-room, the game was already over. The game suspension was very necessary. Not that Artest is any good anymore anyways, but it gives the good lakers less rest during the game. Which is good for the 4th quarter, as well as later in the series when they are that more worn out.Originally posted by Avery'sDad View PostIn a shocker, the ESPN analysts don't think Artest should get suspended. LOL
Watching ESPN you would think a 82-0 regular season team was playing a 0-82 team and just beating themselves.

This should help the Mavs. Matt Barnes will start and that's one less bench guy they have. I hope the Mavs can keep playing great defense and win game 3 at home Friday. As excited as I am about the 2-0 lead this series is far from over. Win game 3 Mavs! MFFL!!!!Originally posted by mustang_marc View PostNEW YORK -- Ron Artest of the Los Angeles Lakers has been suspended one game without pay for swinging his arm and striking the face of the Dallas Mavericks' J.J. Barea, it was announced today by Stu Jackson, NBA Executive Vice President, Basketball Operations. Artest's contact has also been classified by the NBA as a Flagrant Foul Two.
The incident occurred with 24.4 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter of the Mavericks' 93-81 victory over the Lakers at Staples Center on May 4. Artest will serve his suspension tomorrow when the Lakers visit the Mavericks at American Airlines Center for Game 3 of the Western Conference Semifinals.

What a bunch of shit from Bayless.
If he didn't do it on purpose, he would have been arguing with the ref.
