Most players don't get fined for on-court altercations, if need be (like this) they get suspended, which means they loose the pay for that/those games...if I am correct and he gets suspended for 3 games, at his 2011/12 salary of $15,157,667 / 82 games = $184,849 x 3 = $554,558 in lost pay for the incident. Some are saying possibly 5 game...so $924,245...have fun Bynum!

I was there also...it was straight BANANAS in there after two Lakers got ejected...

J.R. Smith from the Nuggets was fined $25k for a cheap flagrant 2 foul back in February and I didn't think that one was as bad as either of tonights Flagrant 2's. I didn't think about the suspension without pay but thats just an added bonus.... And WTF??? $15mil for that guy??? Isn't this one of the first times he hasn't been injured in the playoffs??

$550k? Although I hope he gets fined that much I don't think it's likely. $50k might be more likely. It was a total bitch move in the first place and him taking his jersey off on the way off the court should solidify it being one of the biggest fines but I still can't see it being over $50k... $30k for the hit and $10k for removing his jersey maybe.

BTW, there was about to be a fucking riot at that place after that cheap ass shot. At least two beer bottles went flying across the court. I think that was the most angry I have ever felt at a Mavs game and I have been a half season ticket holder for the last five years so I have been to plenty of games. The Mavs played like champions tonight and if they can continue to do that there isn't a team in the league that can stop them.

This series win is about on the same level for me as the Mavs series in '06 when they beat the Spurs. Very emotionally satisfying. I bet Bynum ends up serving a suspension to start next season for that hit on JJ.
