According to his rants, he was born and raised in east L.A., what other team is there to root for in L.A, the Clippers? And the way hes sucking Kobes cock in this thread, hes a Fakers fan. Good for him, we finally got our revenge and we did it in sweeping fashion too...Originally posted by SilverbackLook all you want, she can't find anyone else who treats her as bad as I do, and I keep her self esteem so low, she wouldn't think twice about going anywhere else.

Sorry but I'm working today and went out for lunch. From what I found, it's really hard to compare the two because they did play in two different eras. What they do have in common is that they are both tall and white. Here are some numbers I found on one article for you. I'd like to find some numbers for just the playoffs for comparison.Originally posted by Vertnut View PostI'm still waiting on your "google", and I know why...it won't help your case at all. I'm a Mav's fan, but I'm not blind. This is an age-old argument, no matter the sport. The "athlete of the moment" will win it, because it's "out of sight, out of mind". Bird had 47 games of 40 points or more, and 5 games with 50 or more points. More rebounds per game, more points per game, and about 3X the assists' per game.
Alot of what I've read said the numbers are really skewed because of the way basketball has changed and that they play there positions differently. Dirk tends to play from the perimeter and gets less rebounds. He also has less assists because he's the Mavs go to guy while Bird had a few go to guys to pass to. IMO I think Dirk is every bit as good as Bird was and still has a few more years left in him while Bird went out to back injuries that he got while pouring concrete for his drive way (didn't know that and pretty damn stupid IMO).Bird (13 seasons: 1979 - 92) 897 Games Played
21,791 points, 8,974 rebounds, 5,695 assists, 1,556 steals, 755 blocks, 49.6 FG%, 88.6 FT%, 3 Rings
Dirk (13 seasons: 1998 - present) 948 Games Played
21,798 points, 8,016 rebounds, 2,532 assists, 866 steals, 959 blocks, 47.5 FG%, 87.6 FT%, 0 RingsLast edited by Jose; 05-24-2011, 11:38 AM.

Me either. You sort of proved my point, actually.Originally posted by Jose View PostI wouldn't say that LOL!
Please understand that I know Dirk is great. I also remember a lot of these same guys calling Dirk a "choker" not too long ago. Fairweathered? Maybe. I don't EVER recall Bird choking in a big game/series, or anyone accusing him of that.

Dirk is a great player...but I think due to the lack of him being aggressive in the past is what has made him lose credibility....however I think what separates him from the other greats is a few championship rings..good luck to him this year!Originally posted by Da PrezFuck dfwstangs!! If Jose ain't running it, I won't even bother going back to it, just my two cents!!Originally posted by VETTKLR

Unfortunately there's not a stat for "chocking". There's also not a stat for game winning field goals which I know Dirk has made many of. Again, Bird had a much better supporting cast than Dirk has ever had and they were together for a very long time. Bird didn't have a supporting cast of Josh Howard, Erik Dampier, Marquis Daniels, Keith Van Horn, etc. I think Dirk has done very well with what he had and if Bird had played with a not so great cast of team mates things might have been different.Originally posted by Vertnut View PostMe either.
