If nascar still had the old system then these would've been the champions from 2004 - 2010. The drivers that are bolded won the chase championship that year.

2004 - Jeff Gordon over Jimme Johnson by 47 points (Kurt Busch Won Chase)
2005 - Tony Stewart over Greg Biffle by 215 points
2006 -Jimmie Johnson over Matt Kenseth by 4 points.
2007 - Jeff Gordon over Jimmie Johnson by 353 points.
2008 - Carl Edwards over Jimmie Johnson by 16 points
2009 - Jimmie Johnson over Jeff Gordon by 66 points.
2010 - Kevin Harvick over Jimmie Johnson by 285 points

I think it is time to make some changes to the Chase points system. They made the chase because of what Matt Kenseth did back in 2003. Time to do the same to make it harder to repeat.

That sucks. I think it would also help if he had better equipment. Seems his cars always lack in HP since leaving RPM.

Yea, Yates Racing was a operation falling apart when Bobby joined in 2009. But then again, Ford as a manufacture as a whole was horrible. Only BIffle and Edwards made the chase driving for Fords.

I agree. I still hate that he won the title with one win. I know about consistancy wins and all. I just cant stand his bland personality. As far as the chase goes, it seems just about every time they make some type of change, Jeff gets screwed. LOL the year of the first chase, he would have one it under the prior years points system. The second year of the chase when they "tweaked" it, he would have won it according to the rules of the first years chase. Dude cant catch a break. I just wish he could find that majic to be a lot more competitive and win some races.

He hasnt had the same guy for 1 full year except Menderring in 2008

WOW I didnt realize that Bobby had that many crew chiefs since then. Its hard to be consistant when that happens.

since he left JGR his crew chiefs have been Todd Parrott, Paul Andrews, Doug Randolph, Jeff Menderring, Todd Parrott again in teh 96 car. Then Ben Leslie, Slugger Labbe.

Bobby and Doug really had chemistry in their short time in the 43. Once he became the Crew Chief, Bobby was consistently in the Top 15. The 96 team bringing in Todd Parrott was smart cause he was experienced, but let him go for Ben Leslie. Leslie is an idiot, he had no idea on what to do and sometimes he sounded like a dictator.

I see Bobby like I see Jeff Gordon. He seems to still have the desire, but cant seem to connect with his crew chiefs since his title. I always thought Jeff would be the first one to get 8 titles. But it seems he just doesnt have the majic connection like he had with Ray like Chad and Jimmy do now.

I have been a Jeff fan since the beggining. I was hoping to cheer for Kyle when Jeff was done. Just hate that Rick let him go for Junior and kept Mears. He admitted he should have released Mears before letting Kyle go.
