I didn't like him last year. He sounded like a douche in every interview he was in, he never referred to the Rangers as "us" or "we." It was always "these guys," "they," "them," etc., until the last game he played with Texas (when he was too proud/cocky to pitch around Renteria and gave up the winning HR). Then it was "we've got a good team" or something to that effect. When he hit the double in Game 1 of the World Series, everybody in the dugout was giving him the claw, he just shrugged his shoulders at them.
He always had a professional interview and never really rocked the boat with what he said. But when he was in the heat of the moment and made it to second, his real feelings showed. You always show your true colors in the heat of the moment, and when he just shrugged off the whole team, it was obvious he didn't want to be here.

What are the reasons? I didn't keep up with all of the gossip.
Lee’s son was diagnosed as cancer free in 2006 when he was five years old. But during the Lee family’s quick stop in Philadelphia more than a year ago, they found something that offered them insurance in case anything every happened.
The Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia is ranked as one of the top children’s hospitals in the August 2010 issue of U.S. News and World Report. The Lee family felt really comfortable with this hospital treating their son if anything ever came back up.
I'm sure that really doesn't have much to do with it though. But it tends to make people feel better about it.
Hard to say man. I sat and watched our FO trade him off to Seattle, and honestly I wasn't pissed about it. (It didn't hurt that we ended up with Halladay). If the reasons I've heard for him going back to Philly are true, than he made the decision for a damn good reason.
Besides you fuckers don't need him, the Philles lineup doesn't hit as well as yours, we need killer pitching to have a chance.

You're not glad he went where he wanted to be. You're glad he went to your team. If he wanted to be in Arizona and he went there, you would care less.

They were spot on today though. We struggled with him for 6 innings. Our pitching was just good enough to keep us in it until we got the bats going a little bit.
I talk a lot of shit about Ben, but he came through tonight.
