My point was more about there not being rhyme nor reason as to why it happens. He could be a little tired, and in the case of a pitcher, that's all it takes.

True, but last year CJ pitched well in the playoffs. This has just been one bad outing after another.Originally posted by Vertnut View PostIt's funny how some guys really come through in the play-offs, while others do great during the regular season, then really slump in the play-offs. Look at Micheal Young and CJ as examples. Then look at Beltre and Cruz (My God!) in contrast. To some extent, even Murphy and Napoli have carried a lot of weight, too. Hamilton has been OK, but last year he tore the Yankee's a new sphincter.

Had hoped we would be able to sign CJ for 2012 and beyond ..
My give a damm is busted on that now

He's only had 2 starts in this series, but today wasn't his best.Originally posted by pHILSANITY07 View PostId take CC on this team. CJ hasn't performed in the postseason so far. I think today was his best outing of this series. Hopefully we can also get our starting rotation better next year.IIRC, Oswalt has already said he won't come here.Originally posted by 71chevellejohn View PostAvailable starting pitchers:

I heard on the radio that Nelson Cruz has the most home runs in a playoff league championship series with 5.

I don't think they have a chance at landing CC.Originally posted by dmh165638 View Post

I see CC opting out, letting everyone make their offers and then going back to the yank-mes for more $.Originally posted by dmh165638 View Post
