That game was frustrating as hell. We'll get the job done tomorrow and come back home all even. I still can't believe Craig hit that pitch by Ogando fair. That was some lucky ass bullshit. I feel we will definitely still win the series because tonights game could have gone either way.

Everything you said is correct but you don't know baseball (assume you are saying it should've been ruled a foul)Originally posted by pHILSANITY07 View Postthe double that berkman hit in the 4th inning the ball hit foul right outside the batter box then went fair. Clearly you could see it bounce foul.www.hppmotorsports.com

What i don't get is the hit, by Berkman, in the bottom of the fourth. The hit that got them the first two runs. When looking at the replay, the ball hit foul then came back in. I just want to clarify that it was a good call or not?
Good game non the less. Come'on guys Ranger!=Cowboys

Better pitching than Florida? Verlander/Detroit? The other Rangers got 6 hits, so it's not like they're facing Koufax or anything. Is an 0-4 injured Hamilton better than a healthy Gentry?Originally posted by Nash B. View PostI mean, the Cardinals somehow managed to get past the slugging Brewers. It couldn't have anything to do with a great pitching staff, could it?It didn't hurt them last year in the ALCS, and they had waaaaay more momentum going against them when they all but gave away Game 1.
By the way, not having a DH kills the game for me. Even though it was CJ, I didn't like him pitching around the #8 guy to get to Carpenter. It's one reason ERA's tend to be lower in the NL.Last edited by Vertnut; 10-20-2011, 04:26 AM.

We had a couple big breaks ourselves....Originally posted by pHILSANITY07 View Postrelax guys, its game 1. Its not like Game 1 against Tampa Bay where we got beat bad at home. Rangers were in this game, could've won it but give the Cardinals credit. I will say they did get 2 big breaks in this game on balls that were foul that were called fair. We win tomorrow then its 1-1 going home

Yup, that is the ONLY break I remember the Rangers getting. But I am a sore loser, I may have forgot the good things that happened to us. I guess you could say Naps homerun was a break since it was so outside and he still pushed it out.Originally posted by momo View Postthe only thing i saw was berkman's strike call for a foul tip but he never swung. catcher dropped it.

The only other break I remember was that fly ball that cruz missed, but managed to stay contained by his leg, that ball gets away and 1 maybe 2 more runs score by the time he recovers. As for the foul ball thing, You can bunt or hit a infield ground ball down the line, it can zig zag all the way down the line until it comes to a stop. It will then be ruled fair/foul by its position.Originally posted by LeahBest balls I've had in my mouth in a while.

The second at bat of the game. Elvis hit a roller past first, Pujols fielded it, and Carpenter covered the bag with his shoulder and face, just as Elvis was coming into first. I was hoping Carpenter broke his shoulder, but he kept pitching.Originally posted by The Geofster View PostAs someone who wasn't able to watch the game, what are you talking about?
