MLB on XM is reporting Albert's deal is 10/260 Million and CJ is 5/77.5 million. Miami apparently offered CJ 6/98 million and Texas only offered him 4/45 million.
CJ stands a good chance to improve his record, since now he will be 3rd or 4th in Anaheim's rotation and won't be facing everybody else's #1 pitcher..

Texas was close to what he's worth, Anaheim likes to way over pay for mediocre ex rangers.Originally posted by 71chevellejohn View PostMLB on XM is reporting Albert's deal is 10/260 Million and CJ is 5/77.5 million. Miami apparently offered CJ 6/98 million and Texas only offered him 4/45 million.

Sure. Why not? That's the stance people love to take on Romo. And I'm almost positive you're guilty of doing just that.Originally posted by Lone Sailor View PostNow we're judging as to whether a pitcher is decent or not solely based on playoff performance. Actually, I take that stance, to a point. Can CJ get you to the play-offs? Sure! Can Romo? Sure! It's just that neither can close the deal beyond that. If us fans are happy here in Dallas with that, so be it.Originally posted by bcoop View PostSure. Why not? That's the stance people love to take on Romo. On the flip side, he allowed 3 or fewer runs in 3 of his 5 postseason starts this year, and 3 of 4 last year. Again, the issue isn't that he's a bad pitcher, it's that he's not good enough to be or beat an ace. He'll be a good fit as a #3 or #4 man with the Angels.Originally posted by Vertnut View PostActually, I take that stance, to a point. Can CJ get you to the play-offs? Sure! Can Romo? Sure! Not solely, but if you want big money, you better be able to perform when it most counts (and CJ couldn't). No big loss for the Rangers.Originally posted by Lone Sailor View PostNow we're judging as to whether a pitcher is decent or not solely based on playoff performance. Tin foil hat much?
