Actually, I take that stance, to a point. Can CJ get you to the play-offs? Sure! Can Romo? Sure! It's just that neither can close the deal beyond that. If us fans are happy here in Dallas with that, so be it.

On the flip side, he allowed 3 or fewer runs in 3 of his 5 postseason starts this year, and 3 of 4 last year. Again, the issue isn't that he's a bad pitcher, it's that he's not good enough to be or beat an ace. He'll be a good fit as a #3 or #4 man with the Angels.

Not solely, but if you want big money, you better be able to perform when it most counts (and CJ couldn't). No big loss for the Rangers.
