Jerry just needs to keep moving forward with Jason. Dallas needs to improve a little in all 3 areas of the football team. Once the team moves forward and progresses in the 3 areas, you'll notice the improvment in the 3 areas of the football team.

Should Jason Garrett be fired?

I voted to give Garrett another year. On his worst day, he's still more competent than a Chan Gailey or Dave Campo. He's made some rookie coaching mistakes, but he made some disciplinary locker room changes that garner respect. It was unbelievable how liberal Wade's team policies were.Originally posted by Rick Modena View PostYou think I don't know that and everyone with a half a brain knows as well. My point was that I would be a MAN about it and not look to or call anyone out. I want honest opinions on the subject.
I think the focus for the Cowboys organization at this point is scouting, recruiting, and major emphasis on restructuring the Defense. Jimmy Johnson believed in speed on the Defensive side being paramount. And, apparently, his two rings supports that game philosophy.
And this may not set well with the hard core Dallas fans, but I think Romo is and always has been over rated. I don't think he is a good QB at all. Great mobility in the pocket, yes. Intelligent under pressure, no. Pull a win out of his ass when everything is on the line, no. And his approach and dedication have been questioned by many of sport pundits in the past, especially during his Jessica Simpson days. I've seen him smiling way too many times on the sideline when they were trailing in games. Quite a contrast to someone like Tom Brady getting into heated arguments with his coaches even when they are winning, like what happened last week. Romo is a kid in a mans body. We've heard about his approach to the game in the pre-season is maturing, but how many seasons has it been now? I think he is one of many obstacles for this team to win a championship. I think he likes his paycheck and enjoys playing, but doesn't eat live and breathe football like say someone like Brett Favre, Peyton Manning, Brady, Marino or Johnny Unitas. Then again, the blame falls on everybody's shoulders this season. They are a 3 ring circus right now. Their last two games look like they were scripted by Monty Python.
Oh dear. Tell him to please be gentle. I don't want to lose any sleep.Originally posted by Rick ModenaDon't make me call Dr. Dave in here to bitch slap you...Last edited by LS1Goat; 12-15-2011, 12:45 AM.

I think what everyone needs to understand that this is all part of a process. For the football team to move forward and improve in all 3 areas they have to make sure they progress by following a process.Originally posted by yellowstang View PostJerry just needs to keep moving forward with Jason. And don't forget to give credit to [Insert Other Team Here]. They're a good football team. They played well and made plays and executed in all 3 areas of the football game, and that's critical for a good football team.Originally posted by TRAXX View PostI think what everyone needs to understand that this is all part of a process. or what about....
We know as a football team and football coaches in the national football league that we have to be good on both sides of the football. Great football teams know that to survive in the national football league you have to be able to play all three areas of the football game efficiently. We will watch the tape of our previous football game and see how well the football was handled and make adjustments to this football team and be ready to play football Sunday.

I'm afraid I agree. That said, JJ also stuck by Wade and said his job was safe. Then fired him the following week. It's the PC thing to do, you won't ever hear JJ threaten or even wafer on his confidence in someone until he drops the hammer. That's the way it should be.Originally posted by Lone Sailor View PostLMAO! I'm watching the pregame show for the Cowboys/Bucs game and they just interviewed Jerry Jones and he says "We're just getting started with Jason Garrett". Looks like you guys are stuck with RHJ.

You have to admit though, if he were to fire Garrett this soon he knows he would be admitting he was completely and utterly wrong in every aspect of his publicly known master plan of bringing Garrett up to be the cream of the crop in coaching in the NFL. While I do understand the PR stuff, JJ knows he would be shooting himself in the foot(or leg) if he made a knee-jerk reaction even after this season is over to let RHJ go, or even to demote him. Just my humble opinion, but I don't see JJ making a change at HC within the next 5 years unless they go sub .500 for more than one consecutive season or 2 or more unconsecutive seasons.Originally posted by bcoop View PostI'm afraid I agree.
